Club meeting: Wednesday 30th October 19:00 for 19:30, Royal British Legion, New Row (opposite Alhambra), Dunfermline. Visitors welcome, plenty of (free) parking behind the building in the public car park.

Main topic of discussion will be the latest information on the “Drone” legislation.

• With the Met office forecast having heavy rain till lunchtime and a 50% chance of rain through the afternoon, the wind from the east at 8 mph gusting to 15 mph this would be similar to the Steel Trophy day. This would prevent us competing in the BMFA team glider with 2:30 maxes therefore it was decided to give today (6th) a miss and hope for better to come.
• Next Sunday (13th) is a Bathgate Indoor Meeting  date.
• Next target date for the Pan-Am is  20^th October.

21 July: 10:00 onwards, Free Free Flight Competitions. Postponed due to wind (no amount of Rennies will cure this problem).

The blustery  wind conditions would be a bit too arduous for most of us. The forenoon is not too bad but it gets worse from 12 noon.

A new target date has not been set but a “call to arms” will be called if an operchancity is seen.

The second day of the Scottish Free Flight National Championships on Sunday 30 June was postponed due to weather conditions. The events for that day are rescheduled for Sunday 14th July.

Motherwell and District Model Aircraft Club (MADMAC!) invite you to their Fun Fly In on Saturday 15th June. Members from DMAC will be attending for the Free Soup, (Stovies?) and drinks. They may perhaps do a bit of flying as well and the Craic is guaranteed to be awesome.

The forecast is dry, warm (17C) with a 9 -11mph wind. Very strong sunshine is unlikely as it is forecast to be cloudy until 19:00. Sun block is however recommended just in case.

Flying will take place at the North End of Strathclyde Park (ML1 3ED) accessible from the A725 (Bellshill Bypass)

This coming Sunday (19th) the “Cranfield Classic” free flight competition is scheduled at the SAA site on the Pentland Hills. This event is for FAI power models (now known as F1Cs) that were involved in a marathon fly off at the World Championships run at Cranfield in 1960. Club members will be competing in this competition and others will be preparing for the British National Championships the weekend after. The forecast is cool, cloudy and mainly dry with light wind.
