Here you’ll find tutorials on various subjects. These are intended to give a novice reader an introduction to the sport of aeromodelling. If the reader is already a aeromodeller these tutorials will give an insight into a different discipline to the one currently pursued.
Building a model may be a daunting prospect for a beginner. This need not be so as models can be bought ready made. Also experienced club members will act as instructors in both building and flying if requested and will supervise new members until they are able to fly solo in a safe manner. Read more about it here.
A great way of getting started is to build a “chuck glider” also known as a Hand Launched Glider (HLG). Here you can find a plan and instructions on building and flying the Asteroid chuck glider.
The Asteroid HLG is a Free Flight (FF) model. There are three main classes of free flight models but they all are basically gliders.
Want to know about control line models (CL), read it here.
We will be having a tutorial on Radio Control (RC) models but this is not yet available. If you want to know more please use the Contact page and we will get back to you.
